01 What we do not do

No accounts. No ads. No analytics scripts. No third-party trackers, no social buttons, no fonts loaded from someone else’s server. Nothing about you is sold, because nothing about you is collected.

02 What happens when you use the calculator

Your choices (country, age, requirements…) are kept in the page address and in your browser’s local storage so that links can be shared and your settings survive a refresh. To compute a result the page sends those choices to our server. The server answers and may cache the answer for an hour under a hash of the choices — it does not attach your name, address or any identifier to it, and it does not keep a history.

Like every web server, ours sees your IP address while handling a request, and uses it briefly for abuse protection (rate limits). Short-lived technical logs may exist for operations and security.

03 Cookies and storage

Visiting the pages sets no cookies. If you choose a language, we remember it in one small functional cookie (dt_locale, one year). If you join the waiting list, a session cookie may be used to protect that form from forgery. Your browser’s local storage holds your last search, theme and unit preferences, on your device only.

04 The waiting list

If you leave your e-mail we store it, plus your language and the country you selected, to tell you once when the next part of DateTruth opens. We never share or sell it. Ask us to delete it any time and it is gone.
